Elizabeth’s Story
As a psychotherapist and registered social worker from Toronto, who is now residing on the unceded Quw’ustun territories of Vancouver Island, I’m passionate about honouring people’s unique stories of resiliency within a cross-cultural worldview through trauma-informed and anti-oppressive counselling.
Myself being an Ecuadorian-Canadian Mestiza, with a professional background in both urban and rural community-based practice, I’m experienced working with BIPOC and 2SLBGTQIA+ youth, grief and loss, and trauma survivors. I hold space for clients to define what healing means in their lives and support self-empowerment leading towards positive change. I’m looking forward to walking with you on your journey!
Imogen Tam, MSW, RSW (She/They)
I understand the unique challenges of navigating identity and feelings of non/belonging. Intersectionality, cultural humility, client empowerment and unconditional high regard are some foundations of my work.
