Hello! As a registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in Toronto, I have provided mental health care for diverse communities for over 15 years. I’ve practiced on Family Health Teams, in community organizations, as well as in private practice. Having had the opportunity to work in different settings, I draw from a variety of modalities including Gestalt Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive therapy (MBCT) in order to create a unique space for healing, humour and hope.

Our identities as well as our past experiences can influence how we relate to others, how we relate to ourselves, and how we currently move in the world. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in patterns with ourselves and with others that are no longer helpful. Slowing down and cultivating moments of awareness can help us to pause. It is in this pause that we have more freedom to try something different, moving more in alignment with the type of life that we want.

My approach is one of meaningful connection and compassion. By working together in the present moment, you will find space to explore emotions, difficult thoughts and life situations. You will also develop strategies and the supports needed to manage life’s ups and downs.

One of my areas of focus includes helping people to manage anxiety. Anxiety in and of itself isn’t necessarily bad. For example, it can often encourage us to become organized or hand in things on time. However, sometimes it can feel as though anxiety is the one in charge. It can make our world and our experiences feel like they are becoming smaller. We might also be less likely to participate in things that bring us a sense of joy or fulfillment. Together we can focus on developing the skills and support needed to step more fully into your life.

If you are looking to connect, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to give us a chance to talk about what is happening in your life right now and to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to working with you from a place of care and kindness, celebrating the entirety of who you are.

As a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, my areas of focus are; Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Self Esteem, Life Transitions, Alcohol and Substance Use (Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Marijuana/Cannabis) and Personal Growth.
