Feeling overwhelmed does not always look the way people expect it to. You may be dealing with anxiety that keeps your mind racing long after the day is over. You may find yourself feeling emotionally exhausted, or struggling to get through things that once felt simple. Perhaps in your relationship you feel stuck in the same arguments, misunderstandings, or periods of distance that leave you feeling unheard. Or maybe you are navigating experiences related to race, identity, and belonging that have left you feeling unseen, hurt, or constantly on guard. You deserve a space where you do not have to carry it alone.
Many people spend years adapting to stress, disappointment, and emotional pain without realizing how much it is affecting them. They learn to keep going, and keep showing up for everyone else while quietly neglecting their own needs. For Black or other racialized individuals, these challenges can be compounded by experiences of racism, discrimination, cultural pressures, and the expectation to remain strong regardless of what is happening beneath the surface. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, process those experiences, and make sense of their impact on you.
As a Black-identifying psychotherapist, I work with individuals and couples navigating depression, anxiety, racial trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe being your true self, without having to defend or justify your experiences.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and strategies from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients better understand themselves, navigate difficult emotions, and create meaningful change.
For couples, therapy can become a space to break free from painful cycles of conflict and disconnection. Beneath communication struggles there are often unmet emotional needs, hurt, and a longing to feel close again. In my approach, I strive to help couples strengthen their connection, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of supporting one another.
I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely understood. We can build a relationship where healing, growth, and curiosity happen at a pace that is comfortable for you. I offer a free Meet and Greet where we can discuss what is bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether we are a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you.

More About Me
Outside of therapy, I find ways to recharge through the things that bring me joy. Whether it’s playing basketball, getting a workout in at the gym, trying out a new restaurant, or enjoying a good video game, I value activities that help me stay active, connected, and engaged.
I also appreciate life’s simpler moments, spending time with family, sharing good food, and enjoying the occasional iced coffee. These experiences help me maintain balance in my own life and remind me of the importance of connection, enjoyment, and self-care.
